Early 1964 ‘Consul’ badged car. Original body tub. Full rotisserie body restoration using only original Ford panels where required with full photographic record. Original aluminium doors, bonnet and boot. This is a matching numbers car with its original cylinder block and cylinder head, verified by the Lotus Cortina Register.
Body tub restoration, wheel arch extensions and paint by Mark Humphries (Panelrama). Running gear, including steering, brakes, suspension (A frame rear), wiring and final build by Alan Henderson.
Full engine rebuild using all new competition spec parts by Mass Racing showing 170 bhp on their dyno. New Burton close ratio bevel set in gearbox built by J.P. Racing (100 miles).
FIA roll cage (Henderson), FIA fire extinguisher, FIA cut-off, Stack instruments, new steel wheels (Henderson), heated screen, Perspex rear and side windows, etc.
Spares include 2000E gearbox (JP Racing), close ratio straight cut gearbox (JP Racing), 3 differentials, original seats and original glass.
This was a no expense spared full restoration to FIA regulations. 2000 road miles since restoration. With minor suspension and brake modifications this car is ready to race or rally.
